Blauer USA debuts at the Fuori Salone in Milan, with a project that aims to support new talents of contemporary design.
The American brand will collaborate with Renée Melo, an Italian/Brazilian graphic designer and illustrator with an international career now living in London, who will exhibit in first hand inside the Blauer flagship in Piazza XXV Aprile 1 - heart of the Brera Design District – this is her first collaboration with the Brazilian brand Fouta Heritage, working with small workshops along the coasts of the Mediterranean with Arabic tradition and craftsmanship to produce foutas: a light hammam-type towel made from 100% cotton, illustrated with tropical patterns designed by Renée. A fun twist on a traditionally made product. The collection will present 5 designs ranging from the tropical beach culture of Brazil to the vintage shores of the Mediterranean. These colourful foutas are for anyone who wants to make a statement and have the summer always with them.
During the five days of the Fair Renée will be present within the Blauer Store to explain all visitors who pass to visit her work, but you can also admire her working during the live performance window art during which Renée will draw freehand directly onto the Blauer Store windows.
"It's always a pleasure to support new artistic talents. I immediately felt this project was interesting, fresh, related to the approach of the summer season and deeply tied to the theme of the sea, which I particularly love." says Enzo Fusco, president of FGF Industry
