In 1894 Chuji Fukagawa established a pottery and porcelain company,Fukagawa Seiji in Arita,Japan. In 1900,he was awarded a gold prize at expo in Paris. Since then,agencies were set up in various cities in Europe (Burmingham,Paris,Milan,Etc.),and through those agencies,the new Arita style was introduced to the world.
In 2005,Fukagawa Seiji Milan studio was opened in Arte Giappone for further expansion of Fukagawa design in Europe.
