Serge Ferrari Group designs, manufactures and distributes worldwide sustainable and high-performance flexible composite membranes. The company was founded in 1973. The following year the Précontraint technology is patented. Serge Ferrari has several plants in Europe: one in France, two in Switzerland, and one in Italy. In fact, the group’s recycling plant that is in Ferrara uses the Serge Ferrari Texyloop technology operational since 1998 to recycle flexible composite membranes 100%. Waste Recycling (www.w-r.it) is a company, belonging to the Italian multiutility Gruppo Hera. Based in the Tuscan town of Santa Croce sull’Arno (Pisa), Waste Recycling boasts a twenty five year experience in the field of treatment and disposal of industrial waste. The company has also launched an artistic project called progetto SCART ® (www.scartline.it), by which it is partner of some important institutions, artists, costumers and set designers. SCART ® is the place where industrial waste get a new life, becoming Art and Design. With his laboratory, set up inside the company, SCART ® hosts various workshop per year with students of some Italian Fine Arts Academies, but it is also able to spread his philosophy of waste reuse thanks to a great network of artists. The SCART ® project is also well known because of the cooperation with the tenor Andrea Bocelli and his yearly show at the Teatro del Silenzio of Lajatico, for which SCART ® has twice realized costumes and sets. Moreover the last year SCART ® has cooperated with the coreographer Luca Tommassini for the talent show X-Factor. Among the artists that SCART ® recently have hosted: Josè Yaque, cuban atist who will represent his Country to the next Venice Biennale.
